What is the Communications Placement Assessment?²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵ Chevron

The success of our students is important to us. You may choose to complete the Communications Placement Assessment (CPA) process to determine the college-level communications course appropriate to your language level – either Communication Essentials (COMM 1016) or an upper-level communications course. If you choose not to complete the placement assessment, you must start with Communication Essentials. Learn more about communication courses at Georgian.

Further information is available in your acceptance package, or the Communications Placement Assessment (CPA) section of our website.

Even if you’re not required to complete Communication Essentials, you’ll still be required to complete the mandatory number of communications courses to graduate from your program. The CPA test cannot grant you an exemption for graduation purposes.
