Program description
An accounting education helps you to understand “the numbers” which is critical tothe success of every type of business. If you are a logical thinker and enjoy the challengeof unravelling the mystery of numbers then this program is for you. In this increasinglycomplex and competitive business environment, accounting skills are very much indemand.
The program provides a foundation in all of the functional business areas and acomprehensive education in specific accounting practices and theory. Through a strongfocus on application, students develop the skills needed for success in the businessworld; analytical thinking, problem solving, communication and teamwork. Studentsgraduate ready to enter the workforce and support the accounting activities of anyorganization.

What are the admission requirements for the Business – Accounting program?
Business – Accounting admission requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status
- Grade 12 English (C or U)
- any Grade 111 or 12 Mathematics (C, M, or U)
- 1
Minimum of 60% in Grade 11 College or University level Mathematics (MBF3C orMCF3M)
Mature students, non-secondary school applicants (19 years or older), and home schoolapplicants may also be considered for admission. Eligibility may be met by applicantswho have taken equivalent courses, upgrading, completed their GED, and equivalency testing. Pathways
Applicants who have taken courses from a recognized and accredited post-secondaryinstitution and/or have relevant life/learning experience may also be considered foradmission; refer to the Credit for Prior Learning website for details:

Additional information
Graduates with a minimum GPA of 70 percent can receive credits toward the Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (Management and Leadership) degree program at ݮƵ.
